Just Joined . . . . Anxious to start sampler

Hi there!! My name is Glenda and I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. A good friend of mine told me about this sampler, and I love it - - SO . . here I am!!

I am trying to learn my way around the website. Since I only speak and read English, I get kind of lost!! Would anyone be able to tell me how to go about getting the patterns. I think I'm about 2-3 months behind. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have seen the pictures that everyone has posted of their sampler. I am VERY impressed!! Looks like everyone is doing a fabulous job.

I look forward to getting to know some of you. I know there will be a language barrier, but maybe there is someone out there that understands me!! LOL

Happy stitching!!

Glenda

Bogyimami

I'm ready with the first part. It was a big pleasure to stitch, thousand hugs to morcs for it.
I'm stitching the next part now.
I am glad that so many people embroider together the sampler!!!!

Hi all

Hi all, and thank you to Eva for inviting me to join the blog here. I haven't chosen all my threads and fabric yet; just wanted to say hello ;)
I decided I would use up stash, so my choices are not very exciting ;)
I'm using white 18 count aida [I love evenweave, but my eyes are not so good these days!] and plan to stitch wit a single thread of DMC 336, 334 and762. I'll post as soon as I've caught up with the first part, and look forward to getting to know you all as this SAL progresses. Jacky

Az első rész

Én is elkészültem az első rész hímzésével , még februárban, csak eddig nem volt időm mutatni.
28-as len vászonra hímeztem, DMC -vel, és a piros- fekete verziót választottam.
28 éve, az első keresztszemes hímzésem is piros- feketével készült, és azóta sem hímeztem ezzel a színválasztással semmit.

A Newcommer

Hi everyone,

This is Anya from Taiwan, an island country in Far-East Asia.

I am very happy to join you and feel excited now, for this is my first SAL project. However, I have not decided which fabric and what colors to stitch yet. I will consider for a while, and post my first part as soon as I finished it.

Wish you enjoy stitching everyday!

webtranslation: I write instead of my husband, who embroiders, but for which the world of the blogs is.... far from his concerns. He chose an unbleached fabric aida in 7 points and very traditional DMC: black 310 and red 221. As soon as the first part is finished, you will have a photo!

ABC

I received more questions about the ABC. If you want to understand the curiosities on the stitched one, you have to know a little about our writing. Our whole ABC is the following (I put a picture here because your browser settings might not support Hungarian characters. If so, try to change the Encoding method to Central European ISO 8859-2.):
You can see why S and Z have the same color. It’s one letter that sounds like the S in English. (sound, stitch, setting, …). If you are interested in, you can read more here.
